《星洲日報》报导，週日（11月29日）晚上舉行的馬華重選方案會談，因對重選日期，以及馬青與婦女組兩大臂膀應否一起重選的兩項課題存有歧見，以致會談在現階段陷入僵局。

根据报导，蔡细历坚持3月重选，而廖中莱等则坚持明年1月重选。

出席者副首相官邸会议的包括署理主席蔡细历、副主席廖中莱、江作汉、黄燕燕、陈国煌及马华总秘书王弗明。双方会议长达3小时。

马华主席翁诗杰因入院而无法出席上述会议。

王弗明也于会后以手机短讯发出中委会议通知，中委会将在12月3日展开。

Sin Chew Daily reported today that the meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and MCA leaders yesterday (29.11.2009) might be futile, as parties could not come to consensus on the date of a fresh election and whether fresh election should be held for both the Youth and Women section.

Chua Soi Lek insisted that the fresh election should be held in January whereas Liow Tiong Lai and

MCA leaders including Deputy President Chua Soi Lek, Vice President Kong Chok Ha, Liow Tiong Lai, Ng Yen Yen, Tan Kok Hong, and Secretary General Wong Foon Meng.  They met theDeputy Prime Minister at his residence yesterday evening， the meeting lasted for 3 hours.

MCA President failed to attend the said meeting as he was admitted to hospital.

Wong Foon Meng issued notice of meeting to Central Committee via sms after the meeting, CC is scheduled meet on 3.12.2009.
