巫統代表大會號角吹響！本屆大會將會在一片歡欣鼓舞的氣氛下舉行，峇眼檳榔補選巫統大勝，把民聯重重打倒在地上，一洗國陣之前在半島連輸七場補選的前恥。在大會上，每一個人的談話一定會離不開峇眼檳榔。

當然，幾年前因為金錢政治被凍結黨籍的依沙，在上陣峇眼檳榔補選大獲全勝後，這次肯定會以英雄姿態出席大會，接受大家的祝賀和吹捧。

但是，巫統恐怕是在自我感覺美好，社會整體並不覺得贏了峇眼檳榔補選有什麼特別指標性意義。

巫統婦女組主席莎麗扎今天接受星洲日報專訪就躊躇滿志地表示，反對黨下一屆大選一定完蛋，民聯只能風光一時，不能風光一世。

然而，莎麗扎的談話並不一定就獲得黨內的認同，許多人還是認為反執政黨的情緒仍十分強大。

很多黨內聲音都擔心依沙的中選會為巫統改革帶來更大阻滯，尤其是在打擊金錢政治方面。巫統不計依沙的過去，領袖們甚至幫依沙背書，表示後者已經改過自新，堅持派遣他上陣，結果取得壓倒性勝利，證明選擇是正確的。但是許多人會認為，國陣為了取勝，甚至可以調整針對金錢政治的態度，這會給人留下話柄，不利於下屆大選的選仗。

依沙這個有污點，而且是舊政治人物的回鍋，也反映了巫統的人才凋零。下一屆大選，巫統有沒有能力派出更好，年輕的候選人上陣呢？這是巫統的巨大隱憂。

巫統在這個時候，上上下下都為依沙的勝利，自我感覺美好，誰又會去想下一屆大選該派那些新人上陣，以便反映巫統的改革？這可能還太長遠了吧？

但是，政治是殘酷的，而且隨著選民更加成熟後，而且巫統不能在全權掌握媒體，尤其是新媒體，巫統或者國陣目前的feel good，很快就會 feel bad。

最後，必須強調，莎麗扎哪種口吻，以為馬來西亞就是巫統，巫統一定得統治馬來西亞人的自大心態，實在令人很反感。正是這種政客把巫統或者馬華帶入死胡同。自己feel good 和arrogant，人民肯定會讓你feel sorry。

Hey, Isa Samad is the UMNO man, he clinched the first victory and ended the PR’s winning streak.

The official interpretation of the victory apparently was that 1 Malaysia concept is well received by Malaysians, the poll results in Bagan Pinang shows.

This must be a joke, how could Bagan Pinang represents the WHOLE OF MALAYSIA, I don’t know, but pity them, they need a cause for celebration, don’t they?

Well, they are many unofficial reasons to celebrate for UMNO, those you don’t spell it out clearly, you know, but it is ‘the ugly truth’:

a) The old formulae is still working;

b)Money politics, is strictly speaking technical and not fundamental flaw; and

c) we don’t need anyone at all,not a single one in our component.(even if MIC is claiming that majority of Indian votes went to BN)

Bravo, UMNO.

Well done, you guys are definitely not on the road to oblivion, not at all.

We will have more Bagan Pinang moments, don’t we?

Dato Seri Hishamuddin was reported to have commented on the naming of Isa Samad as Bagan Pinang candidate.

He was quoted to defend Isa Samad as “a loyal servant of the party”, and called him the “people’s candidate” for his popularity in the Bagan Pinang, notwithstanding his corrupted past.

The Home Minister went on to say that,“He is different from certain individuals who, when found guilty by the party, they are willing to curse the party that has served them. Tan Sri Isa is different. He is patient and strong, and his loyalty to the party is one matter which was considered by the top leadership”.

How should we interpret this ?

Is the Home Minister trying to say that, well it’s alright if he is corrupted, as long as he stay loyal to the UMNO.

No rule abiding, no decency, no justice or righteousness…..

That’s the only condition to stay, loyal by not cursing the party, it is loyalty that they are asking for only.

Perhaps the ground shall speak, does Bagan Pinang, the UMNO stronghold share the same wishes and give UMNO the win that they desperately needed?

And we will have a new set of understanding on the “code of decency”.
